Money, the one word that brings everything to a stand still. That can gather a crowd of billions.
Yet, do we really value money? Another thing on my list of many is that, in this country, people need to value money, yet, they can not. Simply because living here makes you lose value of money. You know how hard it is to make money when you're standing on your feet for 8 hours at a RadioShack making minimum wage in the summer! And that makes you think twice as hard before you spend the cash you have, its cause you can value what you have when you earn it yourself. Its easier to spend money when youre 20+ years old, doing nothing with your life and your finances are coming from your daddys pocket.
Whats worse is, a lot of people here who suddenly find themselves rolling in money they never had before. The typical "new money" . They forget their values, self-respect, integrity & everything that made them who they are. I've known girls who think they are the most sophisticated and cultured, who think they are the cream of the crop when it comes to having shame and family values, who call other's words like "kunjer" for going to parties, drinking and doing guys every weekend, wearing skimpy clothes and all. Yet, the first chance these so-called 'cultured' girls get, they'll throw away all their integrity, slap their culture and religion in the face and show the entire world their true colours by going to nightclubs with random guys, holding up the trademark glass of champagne to make themselves look 'cool', and not to forget, wear the most outrageously slutty clothes; albeit with a few inches of flab hanging out from their sides. Absolutely disgusting.
Anyways, examples of 'new money' are a plenty and if you hang about some of the places I do, you will see and hear this crap on a regular basis. "My dad just bought a new 7-series, but it dont fit in my garage and theres huge puddles of water in my street so we dont know where to park it" For fuck sakes, what were you thinking when you bought the shit in the first place?! Why dont you try fixing your street first!?
How about those poeple that drive around town & have a personal guard accompanying them in a 4x4 SUV behind them everywhre they go? No offense, but thats pretty cool. Just goes to show what the going rate is for a life in this country and how many lives you own. Your guard will probably be paid an average salary of Rs. 6-8K, and his ever so challenging job mainly includes spending his entire day following you around waiting for you to get shot-up so they can intervene and lay their life for you. If I were them, I'd have an escape route planned out, cuz aint no rich-fuck worth dying for in this country...espeacially for a monthly salary that matches one dinner at a fancy restaurant! thats just fucked. But then again, there's so much poverty and lack of opportunities that make people do these silly jobs.
What else is new? The elections are over, and the first suicide bomber blew himself and the Surgeon General of this country into bits. Sad news indeed, an ill fate for someone who probably spent his entire life saving other's lives. This is what it has come to! Could we get any lower?
We spend so much time investing into different things that we forget what we're really doing with ourselves. Money might buy us everything, but it cant buy us respect and a peace of mind. In the end, some of the most priceless moments spent are those devoid of losing our integrity to be someone we're not.

Totally agree!
Too much shit's going around. Everybody (rich or poor) does not know the true value of money (well, value of anything for that matter when u think about it)
We should stop being part of this silent majority in the face of whatever is wrong! I will point and speak my mind when I find something wrong (on an individual basis only).
A lot is to blame on your social elite and landlords for misusing their 'power'. Something needs to be done. Poverty is at its lowest and with the combination of illiteracy we get jackasses willing to blow themselves up for the sake of God. Yea! Justifying deaths of innocents! Do you hear a religious leader denouncing or condemning these acts of barbarism in the name of religion?
Our culture is the real culprit. Our culture is giving our religion a bad name! Thus it doesn't mean that all Muslims are barbaric extremists.
Lt. General Mushtaq - may God bless his soul - was not only the top army medic. He was described by his staff as a really humble human being. Nicknamed "momin" by some. In words of the faithful: "may God guide such barbaric killers. For He is just!".
In closing to my huge comment, I'd take a moment to pray for the lost soul and the grieving family.
Keep posting Said! ^_^
hmmm so profound and true.
The world is filled with assholes fugly whores and rich fucks.
keyword: Tolerance!
Y'know... kinda like adopting the 'live and let live' motto...might make things easier.
Um...one question... What does Hamlets quote "to be or not to be?" have anything to do with this post?
Anon: its a random question i ask myself every now n then. A lot of things u might find on this blog will have nothing to do with anything, just some food for your thoughts
i know money has no value now...everything is so god dam expensive. sugar is like 75rs/kg in most areas..ata, ghee and diesel...all at rediculous highs these days cng at 37rs/kg.
the cheapest thing i see around here is telenor talkshawk for 4rs/hr. and xxx videos for 40rs just to name a few... no where are theses prices beat. if no one else sees it...i do. that is the promotion of kujarness to the society. its subtle...in the sense that people dont want to mention it but they promote it. its socially inappropriate in all aspects religous and cultural.
but the new generation of pakis just go abroad and bring these ideas or just see others and make them acceptable..modifying the religion making the mc-chicken in manchester "halal" by simply saying "7-8-6" if that..most pakis forget who god is until someone dies..then their like oh right..there is a god! god sakes. as for my religion its a way of life..not just a religion, i dont know about others. not only the value of money has gone to the pipe line...so has alot of other things, as u've mentioned in ur blog. its just paki nature tho...we all tend to talk about others but never look at ourselves. i only can ask saad, is the culture the real culprit???
take a moment now and look at what u are...(not directd at saad)do u practice the teachings of your religion??
umm. so one can see what goes on in the minds of others. suicide bombers, and zardari. as for myself zimindar. growing kunuk and chawal..the life is good no worries of the outside world. 200Mbps connection in the privacy of my 14canal banglow off tokar 14ft high brick walls with a tent housing 4chokidars and 6 watch dogs i too drive with a dala fully equipped with 4guards and 3 ak-47's no to mention a personal fridge stocked with redbull in my rover...providing jobs and isolation from the growing gay and lesbo community which we cannot fight off, as it has become almost normal now..with attitudes such as above 'live and let live'
save your selves and all you care for. for that is all we can do now right colourblind.
yeah...please refrain from leaving drunkard comments on my blog. Im talking about the Anonymous above.
yes.that is pretty much all we can in this day.
As far as the debate on religous values is concerned ,if all of you above INCLUDING the writer can vouch for the fact that they've never seen the inside of a night club and never bought anything expensive ..and maybe flaunted it a little...maybe then i'll try to change my policy too.
It's alot easier to put the 'holier than thou' hat on and point fingers at people...but when it comes down to accepting religion as a 'way of life' ...pshhh!.Lets take for example the 'mullahs' ...oh the uprighteous, God fearing men ,who spend the better part of their day at a mosque, and yet behind closed doors molest a nine year old little girl under the pretext of giving her Quran lessons!!!...so forgive me if i'm a little disillusioned.
SO...my point was...the only thing we can do in this rotten world is just try to tolerate people the way they are...hating on everything and everyone is not the solution.
anonymous#2: religion is personal and its usually misinterpretted on an individual level (and its not only islam) and yes culture is the cause. I did socialogy courses and I'd recommend them for perspective. people make up a culture. people are culprits to bad culture (but there some really good things in our culture that should be encouraged)
oh. and i agree with most of what you've said especially self criticism to at least improve yourself.
To colorblind. When i (anonymous 2) mentioned religion as a way of life, I did not mean mullahs. You interpreted my view totally wrong or you dont know. Our religion is about moderation. Everything in moderation, whether its religion, work, socialization or anything it should be done in moderation. Spending the better part of ur day..eventually weeks, and months in a mosque isn't what our religion teaches. Thats more considered extremism to most normal individuals. And praying 5 times a day isn't spending hours at a mosque. Its actually about taking religious values teachings and putting them to good use outside the mosque. i.e. work place. Anyhow saads was right..religion is personal, and is misinterpretted on an individual level..just as colorblind example has shown us all. But i hope this gave some insight.
To anonymous#2 i wasnt really talking about religion ,but about the distorted perception of religion most people have.I used the 'mullahs' ..well simply cause they're probably the most corrupt out of us all.
And once again the only message i was trying to convey was -Dont judge a book by its cover.period.
to be or not to be. it seems the writer of the blog is confused about his sexual preferences. many younsters go thru these types of phases throughout their life. they enter a relationship with intense emotions and wake up one fine morning cold at heart and empty inside with a guilty conscious of what they did was wrong. yes, so it seems to be or not to be? that is the question. whether to pump assholes or poopchuuts.. or elsewhere more ethical the writer im confident has expericenced both very throughly.
